A little piece of India in England

The Mela was held last July on what appeared to be the hottest day of the year and I for one was suffering for it.
The festival looked a little empty at times as everyone was hiding in the shade.

The festival was a mix of Indian and international cultures and this is perhaps the only time I’ve been to a festival where it has truly worked.

The Southampton Mela was one of the friendliest festivals I’ve been too, I often found myself in conversation with the stranger next to me. One chap invited me to meet his grand daughter I didn’t want to appear to be rude but there was a film to make.
